To research, initiate and develop programs that provide support services for local people, in particular young or otherwise disadvantaged people.

To seek support in the community to assist people to develop their capacity for obtaining and retaining employment and to become more self-reliant and better skilled during periods of unemployment.

To provide services and programs which address and relieve poverty, sickness, distress, misfortune, destitution or helplessness.

Employment support designed just for you

OCTEC is Australia’s largest not-for-profit Disability Employment Services (DES) provider. The DES program is a free service to support eligible NDIS participants secure real jobs and create meaningful careers.

When NDIS participants are undertaking DES services, they are still able to continue to receive all their NDIS Supports with your organisation.

Partnering with your organisation, OCTEC will make sure participants NDIS Supports work in conjunction with their DES Job Plans.

Financial support for employers

OCTEC’s DES services includes access to a range of financial supports (including wage subsides) as well the purchase of work related licencing and certificates, workplace attire, workplace modifications and travel assistance.

Working together with your NDIS participants, we can achieve their open employment goals.
